I offer scientific review of all types of scientific documents, such as manuscripts, study protocols, grant proposals, and written instruments and questionnaires. My goal is to help improve your research. In my reviews, I give detailed and extensive critical feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the scientific content in your document. Except for questionnaires, my comments do not involve editing or rewriting.
My diverse experience allows me to give helpful reviews in the health and social sciences, and many other fields in the natural sciences and engineering. Most problems in scientific research stem from not following general practices and principles, including logic, that apply across all fields. Because I am not a specialist in all areas which I review, my feedback might not cover matters particular to your field.
I also offer advice on scientific problems and plans of all kinds, big or small.
Cost. The typical cost of scientific review is US $0.09 per word in the document you submit to me. This cost also covers any discussion we have after I send you my review, such as if you have questions about my comments.
After you send me your document, I will examine it and then tell you what the cost will be for the review. If you want to proceed, I will send you an invoice via Stripe that you can pay online. I begin work on the review after you have paid the invoice. Your payment is not refundable once I have begun work, although I strive for your full satisfaction.
I determine the cost for scientific advice on a case-by-case basis.
If I think that I cannot give you useful feedback or advice given limitations in my knowledge and experience, I will refer you to others who can.
Turnaround time. Unless your document is long (> 5,000 words), I typically return my feedback within 7 days. After I examine your document, I will tell you when you can expect to receive the revision. The turnaround time for scientific advice will depend on your particular case.
